# Concept
#### Narrative
**Story**: During the post-Yugoslav privatization of state assets, a criminal conflict erupted around the privatization of the Genex tower. An oligarch who bought the building is rumoured to tear it down ("We should exorcise the spectre of socialism"). And to drive away journalists and activists, he hired armed football hooligans.
**Goal / Challenge**: The protagonist happened to have a date in a restaurant at the top of the tower, with a hot tall tourist guide who speaks five languages. He must infiltrate and safely escape the tower, solving puzzles, evading ghosts, and fighting hostile ultras.
**Characters**: football hooligans, ghosts, residents, a hot tall tourist guide who knows five languages, Broz Tito's bronze statue (the final boss)

#### Art
**Lighting**: summer evening. When the player progresses to mid-level, the night gets darker. See early dusk reference and late dusk reference below.
**Colour**: Concrete grey residential area with trees, bushes and bright graffiti that help in player guidance.
# Pacing / Objectives
**Length**: 5-7 minutes
**Principle**: Different floor sections are different types of [[Beats @ Level Design|level design beats]]: puzzle, stealth, and cutscenes.

## Infiltration (Tower Square)
-> *Tower square*
-> *Action* -- If goes straight from the spawn point: gets noticed
-> *Stealth* -- If hides behind the bushes
-> If gets to the *residential building* -> hooligans blocked the entrance
-> If gets to the *office building* -> can enter
![[ATTACHMENTS/MAPS/GenexTower/GenexMaps/Exterior.jpg]]
## Infiltration (Office Building)
-> *Office building*
-> *Stealth* -- 1st floor -- hides from hooligans and get to the elevator. The protagonist has low/no ammo, travels uses the ladder
-> *Cutscene* -- Elevator to the 2th floor
+ ammo in the elevator -- overshadowing the fight
-> *Action* -- 25th floor one of hooligans called the elevator at 25th floor. The player fights his way through to the 26th floor.
-> *Stealth* -- 26th floor, where hooligans get scared to enter because there're ghosts.
+ Ghost haunted the elevator. The protagonist has to use the ladder. The only way to the restaurant is the elevator.
+ Ghosts also disarmed the player
-> *Puzzle* -- 27-28th floor: movie theatre. Puzzle involves speaking to ghosts and using the movie projector.
> The ladder to the 28th floor collapsed.
> To access the 28th floor, the protagonist needs to use the ladder in the technical room which is accessed through the haunted theatre.
> Also, a dialogue:
-- Ghosts: "There's no date. He ghosted you three years ago, and you're still not over it"
-- The Protagonist: "No, I will win him over when I send him this game"
> Puzzle is getting solved through the interactions in the projector room,
> Pictures on the screen hint the solution to the puzzle
> Ghosts in the cafe will also give a hint
> and then the elevator works again.
-> *Cutscene* -- Restaurant: the protagonist gets there on the elevator, but the date left
![[ATTACHMENTS/MAPS/GenexTower/GenexMaps/Infiltration.jpg]]
## Refugee (Restaurant)
-> *Restaurant*
-> *Puzzle* -- If the player solves the puzzle for a mechanism that rotates the restaurant
-> *Cutscene (Secret ending)* -- The restaurant rotates, tower detaches from the building and flies into the night sky
-> *Cutscene* -- Office Building elevator: exiting the restaurant
-> Corridor between buildings (30th floor)
-> 30th floor
![[ATTACHMENTS/MAPS/GenexTower/GenexMaps/Restaurant.jpg]]
## Escape (Residential Building)
-> *Residential Building*
-> *Chase / Cutscene* -- 30th floor -- Right-elevator breaks at the 30th floor
>Hooligans block the elevator on the left.
>One of the residents hides the protagonist and advises to use the ventilation shaft to get to the 29th floor.

-> *Cutscene* -- through the elevator to the 1st floor
-> *Boss-fight* -- 1st floor: boss fight with a [bronze statue of Broz Tito](https://www.turbosquid.com/3d-models/statue-of-joseph-tito-3d-model-2091749?dd_referrer=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com%2F) that came to life
+The player collects a gun from the body of a hooligan killed by the statue
