# Δαιμόνιον
> [!INFO] Design Document
> **Designer**: Nikita Stulikov
> **Teacher**: Kim Nutter
> **Concept**: In Antiquity people believed in demons (δαιμόνῐος), faint voices that provide wisdom and advice. It's known that Socrates had a demon. He could suddenly freeze and heed to the wishpers in his head until the sun went down. For this project, I consider human mind a daemonium. In the daemonium of mind, we fight our demons.

## Reference
**Pinterest** reference desk: https://pin.it/4FOG6jlie
**Conceptual inspiration**: Theo Triantafyllidis, 2022 ([Video link](https://vimeo.com/715235147))
**Lighting**: Mind can contain any material textures (it can be that all mind's contents are empirical data). Texture map tends to be *grotesque* rather than ordered. Transparent - Liquids - Floristic slime
**Colour**: *Laboratory vibe*. Mind is a laboratory for thought experiments and mental modelling (comp. laboratory sterility vs dirty mind theme). *Dominant*: pale white, green, cyan. *Complimentary*: orange, yellow. Bright lightening (white - yellow). Steam (adds orange tint)
## Appendix (Memorable Mentions)
- Trachyandra](https://www.llifle.com/Encyclopedia/SUCCULENTS/Family/Asphodelaceae/34379/Trachyandra_tortilis) (Aquatic alternative to the angelic moth (*Demon C*))
- Elysia chlorotica (possible alternative to *Demon B* -- also pareidolic)
